Beste,Ik had een ticket voor 2 retourvluchten met Thai airways geboekt voor mei 2020. Beiden zijn afgelast omwille van Corona, terwijl dit geen verplichting van de overheid was.Ik heb een voorstel gekregen voor een voucher, maar gezien de dienst niet uitgevoerd is, dient men dit terug te betalen indien ik hier niet akkoord ga. Ik heb reeds 4 mails gestuurd naar de klantendienst (met automatische reply dat het momenteel druk is) sinds april. Zowel omtrent vouchers als terugbetaling heb ik geen communicatie meer aangekregen. Het gevolg is dat wij nog +- 1100 euro dienen teruggestort te krijgen. Additionele gegevens:boekingref: Q9RHTEVlucht: TG934 en TG935Alvast bedankt.mvg,Zeger & Loranne

Dear,We hereby refer to your below email regardingpassengers who are waiting for the refund of the tickets on our airline Thai Airways International . We would like to inform that due to COVID-19 the situation for most airlines is very difficult. Due to all travel restrictions and many borders closed, certainly for travel outside Schengen, our company had to cancel all flights on route Brussels Bangkok Brussels since 31MAR20 and this till 27MAR21 which results into a high number of tickets to be refunded.We regret to inform that our local office in Brussels is unable to make any decisions on these refund cases as we depend on the instructions received from the legal advisers of our company in Thailand. Our company has its headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand and we would like to inform that our company is currently under the business reorganization status with a rehabilitation plan submitted to the Thai Bankruptcy court in Thailand. During this period all refunds remain pending until more information is received from the legal consultants handling the case with the Thai Bankruptcy court in Thailand. We kindly send you attached the official press releases on the status of the company for the further explanation. Our office in Brussels also has to wait further instructions.'‹So we need to inform you that all passengers need to follow the procedure accordingly for the refund to receive If passengers booked directly via our websitewww.thaiairways.be, then the refund has to be submitted via the THAI office at point of departure of the ticket. If the departure is Brussels, then our office in Brussels will have registered the refund and passengers has to wait further information when the refund can be authorized for payment, which is currently delayed due to the business reorganization status of our company. Many passengers are sending reminder emails to our office and we try to give clear information about the business reorganization status of our company and therefore refunds are delayed.So we can conclude that all passengers who have submitted their ticket refund directly to THAI are now automatically included in the list of creditors and no further action to be taken. All passengers who were in contact withour office havereceived the updated information that refunds will be done but with delay due to the rehabilitation process.However in case passengers don't want to wait the long period of refund, our airline also proposed to cancel the refund and exchange it into a travel voucher valid till DEC22 for the same value of the refund. This travel voucher could then be used for any new booking on our airline, any destination till DEC22. Dear,I understand the current situation. However, I've never received any answer on my mails, but get one via Testaankoop within the hour. It seems to me proactive communication is the least we can expect here.Can you confirm that we are on this list of creditors (as we didn't book with a travel agent, but with Thai airways straight away and our departure flight is in Brussels)? If so, we'll send another reminder in 4 months.
