Beste, hierbij een kopie van de tekst die ik per chat stuurde naar lastminute.com (enkel per chat bereikbaar):We had booked a package trip for our two daughters, but unfortunately we had to cancel this trip.Trying to cancel this on the site was not possible, we always received an error message.The message indicated a phone number we could call to cancel which we did.The person on the phone said he could not tell what the cost for cancelling would be until we actually cancelled it.This is not acceptable, but we had no other choice.Now we received an invoice for the deposit we already paid (half of the total cost of the trip), adding 11€ cancelling fee, see attachment.If I understand correctly, this means that the deposit will not be refunded.We can not accept this, since the apartment could be cancelled without any cost until one month before the start of the renting period.This rent was the major part of the total cost of the trip.The cost for cancelling the flights can never be more than the actual costs of the flights.The flight operators told us we should turn to you for information about cancellation costs, since we ordered this trip on your site, but even your employee could not say what this cost would be.We can agree with a reasonable cost for the cancellation, but this is not the case here.We demand a fair proposition from lastminute.com to refund a part of our deposit.
