lost luggage since 17 July 2023. On July 16th I flew back from Roatan, together with my husband and 2 sons. We had 5 suitcases with us, one was checked in and the rest was hand luggage. On our connecting flight from Houston airport (IAH) we were able to check in our hand luggage. We explicitly asked that the suitcases would go to Belgium and that we did not have to pick them up in Frankfurt, our next connecting flight. It was confirmed and the stewardess showed us that the destination on the ticket said BRU (Brussels).However, when we arrived in Brussels on 17 July our suitcases did not arrive. We put in a claim for the luggage. A few days later we were contacted by the delivery services of the suitcases that they would bring the luggage to our house. 3 of the 5 suitcases belonged to us, we send the 2 suitcases, which were not ours back with the driver. On 26 July I went to the airport in Zaventem to check if our luggage was there in the lost and found. Nothing.On 21 September I filled out the content of the suitcase online to complete the complaint, I had in the meantime already prepared and sent out the form with receipts of new things bought, which was rejected.On 22 September I checked again at Brussels airport with the lost and found and was told that the suitcases went back to Frankfurt. I have called Lufthansa on 6 Oct, 28 Oct, 15 Nov and received the same reply each time: ‘I will escalate the request, you should receive compensation, we will contact you by email’I have sent emails on 28/11/2023 and again on 1/12/2023 to Mr carsten.spohr@dlh.deBut until now I still did not receive a reply. I still hope that my luggage and the one of my son is not lost and I still will receive it back. I feel a little desperate and therefore I address my question and complaint to you, hoping to receive a message soon.
