I am writing to formally submit a claim under EU Regulation 261/2004 regarding the cancellation of my flight:

Original flight number & date: VY2150, 22-09-2025, from AGP to BRU
Notification of cancellation received on: 21-09-2025
1. Right to Rerouting
At the time of cancellation, Vueling did not provide me with rerouting “at the earliest opportunity” as required by EU261. In order to reach my destination on time, I was forced to purchase a replacement ticket with Ryanair:
New flight: FR2924, 22-09-2025, from AGP to BRU
Ticket cost: €331,21
I hereby request full reimbursement of this expense.
2. Duty of Care
Due to the cancellation, I also incurred necessary expenses for meals, drinks, and ground transport (Uber) while waiting at the airport. Receipts will be provided. Under Article 9 of EU261, these costs must also be reimbursed.
3. Compensation under EU261
As per Article 7 of EU261, I am entitled to fixed compensation for cancellation:
€250 per passenger for flights up to 1500 km
€400 per passenger for intra-EU flights over 1500 km (and all other flights between 1500–3500 km)
€600 per passenger for flights over 3500 km
Given my flight, I request compensation of €400.
4. Original flight reimbursement: €98,99
5. Summary of Claim
- Reimbursement of Ryanair replacement flight: €331,21
- Reimbursement of meals, drinks, transport: €141,65 (receipts to be provided)
