About the mission
You create, design, develop and maintain the IT architecture, aligned with the defined IT Strategy, the company’s application landscape, and with the received IT demands, formulating highly professional and reliable advice in term of architecture and assuring technological solutions that leads to an optimal architecture which meets the current and future needs of the whole organization.About the job:
- Conceptualize and document the global architecture by analyzing the impact of integrating and implementing new products, services, IT solutions in the existing architecture, defining and documenting standards, procedures, guidelines to be followed by other team members.
- Challenge the received business requirements to clarify all values and benefits for the demands, proposing implementation strategies to deliver the highest business value first.
- Define sustainable technological solutions that meet business/IT goals and that are aligned with IT strategy.
- Propose solutions and ensure that the systems meet the business needs, Non-Functional Requirements, performance, scalability, flexibility and security best practices.
- Create solution definitions that describes components/applications, integration, interfaces, data architecture (data flows, migration, ...).
- Ensure that solutions are aligned in close collaboration with all IT areas (Technical architecture, Operations, Development teams, IT Security,…).
- Validate third party solution designs and their impacts with the current landscape.
- Ensure a good and clear communication level with all BT and Business areas.
- Align different solution proposals with the development teams to collect their feedback & estimations.
- Present different (unbiased) technological solutions with pros & cons, cost & resource estimations.
Next to these main activities, you will be also responsible to:
- Support initiatives and project delivery, providing expertise, through the review and change of initial solutions, ensuring compliance with initial design principles and business requirements in order to promote alignment with IT and business strategy.
- Create and maintain the architecture solution documentation.
- Provide support to the development and operational teams to solve technical complex issues.
- Perform analysis of technological related market trends and business needs, determine the impact of these developments on the architecture, anticipating changes and proposing technological investments.
- Intervenes and contributes to committees and/or workgroups at an internal and/or external level, sharing its experience and thorough knowledge within the department.
About you:
The role requires a set of technical and interpersonal skills, including:
Must have
- Degree in IT (Computer Science, IT engineering)
- Experience in the implementation of complex systems, including integration with 3rd party products and services
- Good communication skills. Excellent knowledge in English (written and verbal)
- High motivation, proactivity, and autonomy
Nice to have:
- Proven experience as Solution architect | Senior Functional analyst
- Experience in solution and integration design
- Experience in writing guidelines and architectural documentation
- Modelling skills (ArchiMate)
- Good technical and functional knowledge on different landscapes and solutions (such as CRM, offer management, product management, subscription management, ERP’s, payment solutions, access management, IAM, consumption and reporting tools…)
- Experience on Pre-sales architecture
- Good functional knowledge on Salesforce and Azure are a plus
- Experience on Prem, Cloud and hybrid Solution implementations
- Experienced in communication & presentations techniques (oral and written - high level presentations to management, in-depth to technical teams)
- Relevant certifications are a plus
